Grief & Healing Series
Watercolor on Aquabord, 5" x 5"
In the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic I experienced my first significant artist block. The world had changed so much and what was weighing me down even more was my daughter had contracted a chronic illness that drastically altered our lives. I had always turned to art for relief but my paintbrush and paints were no longer providing any. I finally realized that I usually create artwork to share joy and hope but I felt like I couldn't access that kind of creativity. Instead, I needed to create this series to help me work through my feelings of grief and pain so that I could be open to feel more hope and healing. These pieces are small and simple but what amazed me was how much they resonated with people as I shared them.
