When I first started painting professionally, I wasn't sure what to paint. So I turned to my first experience where I had connected to art: Europe. While on an art tour I first discovered how magnificent master artworks are in person. Standing before the masterpieces by Da Vinci and Michelangelo and others, and I not only fell in love with art, I fell in love with Italy. So that's what I painted for the first couple of years. While I don't paint cityscapes anymore, it is fun to look back on where I began.
