Creating a beautiful painting sometimes feels like an accomplishment as grand as making a mountain. With a nod to Magritte and his pipe that wasn't a pipe, I know that I didn't actually make a mountain, but part of creating is solving problems and finding ways to do something you haven't before (one reason why art education is so important - sorry, art teacher moment I couldn't resist). It's a challenge to be conquered. And victory is sweet!
